Special events at Dharma Yoga Studio

The Dharma Yoga Studio has a few special events coming up.

On Friday, October 29, from 7 to 8:30 pm, there's Funyasa Yoga with Natalie Morales with live sacred music by Richard Brookens.

Cost is $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

On October 31, awaken your inner athlete with Power Bake with Cat Haayen. This transformational immersion harmonizes breathing and action. Cat is the creator of Yogatleta. She'll safely clear obstacles to your physical freedom Her program is designed to therapeutically heat, tone and purify the entire body -- it's called Vinysas Chikitsa, or breath-motion therapy.


This is $25 in advance and $30 at the door. It is from 1:30 to 4 pm.

Then on Monday, November 1, a new meditation series, “Inner Science,” will start at Dharma Studio. The eight-week series will be held Monday evenings from 7:45 to 9:15 pm.

The classes in this series present scientific methods for improving human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of the mind. By learning how to use this simple inner technology, it can greatly increase happiness and quality of life. The series is based on the new book, Modern Buddhism, by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. The classes are taught by American Buddhist monk Kelsang Norbu. Although part of a series, each class is self-contained. Everyone is welcome.

The class is a branch of Drolma Kadampa Buddhist Center in Fort Lauderdale, which offers Buddhist meditation classes throughout Southeast Florida. There is a $11 fee per class. E-mail
