Grove sets records in public safety

Police Commander Jorge Colina informs us that the month of September was robbery free, the first time since records have been kept. That means no robberies in the whole month.

In the early 1990s, the Grove was not in such great shape, there were an average of 45 robberies a month and one month there were 90!

Unfortunately, there have been a few robberies this month, but basically, things are good. The beat cops on bikes and foot have helped and the ever-present BID cops and Grove Ambassadors are eyes on the street. The Center Grove has had the best record of safety, due to all the extra eyes.
