"Grove Rescue" yard sale will help abandoned pets

andysave
There's a special yard sale this weekend with lots of Halloween fun, a BBQ, raffle and adoptable dogs and cats. All proceeds will benefit pets abandoned and left to survive on their own in dog parks and residential areas in Coconut Grove.

On Saturday and Sunday, October 23 and 24, from 8 am to 3 pm, both days, help out "Grove Rescue," the new pet loving neighborhood rescue group.

In the above photo are Hope, the neighborhood dog walker, and neighbor, Sarah, saving "Andy," who now has his forever home in Coconut Grove and is the dog who started it all.
.
They are currently in the process of becoming a non-profit organization. The group formed due to a loosely knit group of neighbors who brought their dogs to the Virginia Street dog park and saw the need to help abandoned animals. The event is at 3072 Mary Street.

They are currently accepting donations for the yard sale. If you wish to help or know someone who does, please email
groverescue@gmail.com to arrange drop-off. They can also be found on Facebook here.
