Early voting starts today

Early voting starts today in Dade County, Miami City Hall (3500 Pan American Drive) is the location in the Grove. There are 20 locations in the county.

The main ballots are the three-way race for U.S. Senate between Republican Marco Rubio, Independent Charlie Crist and Democrat Kendrick Meek. And the Governor's race between Democrat Alex Sink and Republican Rick Scott.

There are also many amendments. One important one is Amendment 4, the Comprehensive Land Use Plans, which could put future development plans in the voters' hands and not the developers and lobbyists.

Hours this week are Monday through Friday: 7 am to 3 pm; Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm; Sunday: 1 pm to 5 pm. Next week the hours are Monday through Friday: 11 am to 7 pm; Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm; Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm.
