Felice Dubin resigned from Village Council today

Felice Dubin resigned from the Village Council today. She sent a resignation email to the rest of the council today at 10 am.

The letter is short and says, "Regretfully I will not be able to continue serving on the Village Council due to the demands of the Bookstore. It has been an honor and a wonderful experience. I am proud to have served and made a difference in almost seven years I've been a councilwoman."

Felice is co-owner of The Bookstore in the Grove with Sandy Francis and is involved in many other organizations in Coconut Grove including the Merchants Group.

Michelle Niemeyer, chair of the Village Council, says that the council will take applications and finalists will be selected by a committee to present to the council and the council will vote on who will replace the vacated seat. This is in the Village Council bylaws and it will be announced at tonight's meeting at the Sailing Club.
