Designer discounts for the Fashionably Conscious

fashion1
I stopped by the former Cielo space the other day and caught the ladies from the Fashionably Conscious Fundraiser getting the place ready for this weekend's big event. The fundraiser is back for it's fourth year. Annette Lopez, chair of the event, above, was sorting out all the designer clothing, it's a big job, there are a lot of items.

This is the sale of the year where you can get designer items at discount prices and help charity in the process! Miami socialites, society women and CEO's have donated the best from their personal collections, including mint condition Chanel bags and jackets, Roberto Cavalli dresses, Christian Dior, Ungaro and Pucci, just to name a few. Men's and children's items have been expanded this year, too.
There are lots of Hermes ties and Zegna suits.

The shoe area is never ending. I saw Jimmy Choo, Manolo Blahnak, Chanel and more.

The yearly sale raises money for The Barnyard in Coconut Grove, a free after school and summer program for children in Village West. The kick off party is Friday, May 13, at a VIP Preview Sale at the Mayfair in the Grove, at the former Cielo space right at the corner of Florida Avenue and Mary Street, from 6 to 9 pm. The $25 entrance fee allows you first access to the fashions. There are refreshments and gift bags, sponsored by Peroni.

On Saturday, May 14, the all day sale happens (from 10 am to 5 pm). Entrance to that is $10.
