Beer Garden and Sushi Lounge open for business

Central Beer Garden and Sushi Central Lounge, located at CocoWalk, are opening tonight, May 5, they're open from 4 pm to 3 am. These are two unique venues with personalities all their own. I stopped by the past two days and it was a whirlwind of excitement. All the new employees were hustling and bustling all over the place, there was so much excitement and energy. I can see how this will be a fun place to hang out.

Bartenders were setting up the bar (here's Tabatha Fehrmann and Enrique Garces), waiters were all lined up in black, practicing order taking. The owners and managers were all over the place getting last minute things ready.

Being a beer garden and all, they have to have beer, and they do. But to see a line up of taps all along the back of the bar is amazing. I've never seen so many beer taps before. They have over 60 beers on tap! The menu consists of items that will change daily.

The staff really is excited to serve you. At left, Tabasom Noorbakhsh does some last minute picture hanging and even the waiters were cleaning the windows. The view is spectacular from the fourth floor at CocoWalk.

Last night, guests who were invited to preview the space, were privy to the new restaurants. It was a whole new crowd with lots of new faces, people who are not normally in the Grove. It was also a very club-like atmosphere, not very beer garden-like, but an actual club with dark atmosphere, loud music and dancing. Something we actually need here in the Grove.

Live entertainment will be featured. Some of the most popular bands from Miami’s music scene will perform “unplugged” type concerts. South Florida favorites like Suenalo and Spam All Stars are scheduled to perform this month.

Guests can enjoy a 20,000 sq ft space with indoor and outdoor seating, flat-screens all over the space, warm color palette and a huge bar setup.

The venue will also be set up to host social, private, corporate and media driven large or small scale events. Central Beer Garden was created for a casual, bohemian experience while Sushi Central Lounge will be a dynamic sophisticated lounge for those wanting a palate-pleasing experience or some delicious signature cocktails without having to go very far. Fit for “date” nights, happy hour or a private celebration, Sushi Central Lounge will soon be the hip spot to see and be seen and for those just wanting to enjoy good sushi.

Sushi Central Lounge is designed to be a chic ultra trendy lounge, it is just one flight below the Central Beer Garden, Sushi Central Lounge was conceptualized to stimulate the senses as the sights, sounds and tastes make for an ambiance like no other in the Grove and cater to the individual wanting to dance, and listen to the most popular lounge and dance music.

Featured will be a sushi menu with Latin infused flavors and themes. The lounge will also feature a tequila bar boasting exotic and unique tequila cocktails. The experience is topped off with hip and popular music that will pump through the sound system and dance floor to round out the Sushi Central Lounge experience.

Both venues were built out in a manner which would facilitate the planning of private parties, family celebrations, and corporate soirees.
