Shake-A-Leg introduces new COO

Shake-A-Leg Miami announced that Donald R. DuChateau is the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer. Don will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Shake-A-Leg, as well as overseeing the programming, marketing, fundraising and revenue-generating initiatives of the organization. Prior to joining Shake-A-Leg Miami, Du Chateau worked for nearly 20 years with the American Cancer Society.

Shake-A-Leg recently welcomed war vets for Veterans Appreciation Community Bay Day, to enjoy a day of water activities and they were proud to present their new memorial mast on the grounds, on Memorial Day, built by Ken Batchelor in honor of his wife Rita and others who have passed.

On Community Bay Day, families enjoyed boat rides, kayaking, pontoon tours of Vizcaya and the Miami skyline, face painting and games, food and lots of outdoor fun.

Summer camp at Shake-A-Leg welcomed over 200 kids this week to enjoy Eco Island and all the facilities.

There is a nice story on the program in the Biloxi Sun-Herald here.
