Last week, Niki Simon-Blacker (left), from the Mayfair Antique Market, was promoting the Goombay Festival on Facebook, only she kept calling it the Goombah festival. I wonder if anyone turned up expecting an Italian fest with a saint and sausage and peppers and cannoli and red, white and green streamers all over the place?Niki and the whole gang are at the Mayfair Antique and Collectibles Market every weekend, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 to 6. Stop in the air conditioned showroom and shop till you drop. There's lots of nice one-of-a-kind items there for Father's Day.
