The Coconut Grove Scavenger Hunt is back again this year, just like on July 4th last year, the Coconut Hunt will be tied in with the Hot Dog Eating Contest. Two Grove signature events.
The first, and maybe the only coconut painting party is this Wednesday, June 23, at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue). Stop by and paint a coconut or two and have some fun. Wine will be served. No children please. Come by any time between 6 and 10 pm and do your thing!
You don't have to be artistic, we just need a few hundred coconuts painted for the hunt. Paint them solid, paint them polka dotted, paint them elegantly, we don't mind how you do it, just come by and paint them!
It's a fun community event, come meet some of your neighbors in this relaxed fun atmosphere.
We'll post the new rules and how the winners will be chosen in the next few days. As for the hot dog eating contest, that is at 2:30 pm on July 4th at CocoWalk. The sign up form is here. We'll have sign up for the Coconut Hunt on location the day of the hunt.
