Going Green in the Grove
New eco-friendly salon on Commodore Plaza

Gilles Valceschini and Lionel Chicherie, the owners of Ugo di Roma recently opened the eco-friendly Coiffure & Nature salon at 3199 Commodore Plaza, right on the corner of Commodore Plaza and Grand Avenue. The concept is based on the Coiffure et Nature salon, in Paris. According to the salon, it is "as green as a beauty salon gets without compromising long lasting quality results."

The treatments eliminate the use of harsh chemicals and are good for anyone concerned about avoiding this, especially pregnant women and those with sensitive skin. Each product is used on a case-by-case basis. At left, Rocioi Beckschi works on a client.

The systems are free of sulfates, parabens, sodium chloride, gluten, DEA, MEA and animals testing. The award-winning natural nail polish line comes in many colors, all free of toluene, formaldehyde, camphor and other harsh chemicals.

The new salon has a rustic and relaxing setting created with natural materials.
