Pupi y Los Son 'Son at Flavour this weekend

The farewell performance of Pupi y Los que Son 'Son will be at Flavour this weekend before their return to Cuba. This is their only Miami performance, recently they played to a huge crowd in New York's Central Park.

On Monday, they return to Cuba, catch them at Flavour tonight, June 25, doors open at 9 pm and on Sunday, they'll do a matinee starting at 4 pm.

César Pedroso (Pupi) is a former member of the band Los Van Van, the pianist, composer, arranger and bandleader and his band have been touring the US recently with their new style of "Timba" music. This is their first US tour.

From a recent
New York Times review: "The band’s three singers — Rusdell Pavel Núñez Carmenate, Michel Pérez Sotolongo, and Norisley Valladares Gómez — shuttled back and forth between romance and aggression, smiling and wincing and sex-gesturing. They sang from Mr. Pedroso’s past with Los Van Van and his present, including the new hit 'Un Loco Con Una Moto' ('A Crazy Person With a Motorcycle'); they harmonized in rapid choruses, pushing one voice up to the front to lead verses or improvise."

Check their music out at MySpace
here.

Club Flavour is at 2895 McFarlane Road. RSVP: 305-461-0940. There is lots of parking at the Sonesta Garage next door or a few blocks away at the Oak Street Garage. The Grove is back, come out and enjoy!

And ask about “ILLumiNation” a futuristic, high energy, light themed Costume Lingerie Fashion Show and Dance Performance on Saturday night, June 26.
