Yesterday, artists representative from various galleries and not-for-profits came together in Coconut Grove to strengthen their leadership and to possibly spearhead a new Coconut Grove Arts Alliance to be inclusive in all art projects throughout the region.
Their goal is to access funds that are due them via cultural tourism and to showcase the Grove during Art Basel 2010. They also talked about a "33133" art show or representation of 33133 artists in the Coconut Grove Arts Festival. Their main goal is to showcase their work as artists, but also as business people.
Presenters were Marina Pavlov from FANO and Corky Dozier from the Greater Miami Host Committee.
