Mike Cardoso was in an accident about 20 years ago, which left him unable to walk. He's been in a wheelchair ever since. Recently Mike was accepted into a stem cell research program in Panama which maybe will help him walk again.The cost is $40,000 so friends have been helping by holding fundraisers, just the other night, a group of Mike's old high school friends raised $10,000.
They are still about $17,000 short and you can help right here in the Grove. On Wednesday, October 12, Calamari (3540 Main Highway) his hosting a Walk by Faith Fundraiser for Mike.
The cost is $20.00, food will be passed around and drinks are at Happy Hour prices. The event is from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.
Whether you know Mike or not, stop by. You always know someone at Calamari anyway and it's for a great cause! Let's help Mike walk again!!!
