It's homecoming weekend for the Championship Coconut Grove Knight Riders youth football program. All games are on Saturday, they begin in the morning and go all afternoon and into the evening at Armbrister Park on Grand Avenue. Last fall, the team won the Sean Taylor Classic Pop Warner Bowl for Division 2, making the team the 2010 Southeast Regional Champions.The Grove plays against Palmetto Bay and a couple thousand people are expected over the day. Numerous sponsors from the Grove will be coming out. Come out and watch as Coconut Grove begins its quest for another Pop Warner national championship!
Badia Spices, Gibraltar Bank, the Rotary Club of Coconut Grove and a couple other companies have come up with some very generous donations to keep the team going this year.
