Jurors for the Coconut Grove Arts Festival will be gathering this week to select the artists who will participate in 2012's festival, which will be February 18 to 20. It's a long, two day event, which is exhausting, I sat in on it last year, here is the story describing the process.
Last year's winners will automatically be invited to exhibit again this year. The jurors use previous award winning pieces to set the standard for this year's exhibits.
The 2D art (paintings, photography, digital art, etc.) will be seen on Wednesday and the 3D items (jewelry, sculptures, etc.) will be judged on Thursday.
