En Plein Air artists being sought for Mad Hatter

As part of this year's Mad Hatter Arts Festival, which is October 29 and 30, there will be an En Plein Air element. That's where artists paint out in public around the village. That's local artist Dan Bondroff at a past en plein air event in Coconut Grove.

That has always been successful when done and if you would like to participate, there is still room for more artists.

While the traditional Mad Hatter Arts Festival takes place at The Barnacle Historic State Park and along the sidewalks of Main Highway, the en plein air artists will be around town doing their thing.

There is also the Chalk It Up! festival which will be chalk art being done live by artists in the parking lot next to Fuller Street on Grand Avenue. Any artists interested in that are more than welcome to join in, too.

And of course, for tents and tables at the main Mad Hatter Festival, there is still room, as well. Artists wishing to participate should submit an application. Be a part of this zany arts festival -- for more information or to download an application go to
www.MadHatterArtsFestival.com.
