Schedule for today's Great Grove Bed Race

Today's the big day. It's time for The Great Grove Bed Race!



Here is the schedule of events:



All Morning - Bed Race Breakfast and Brunch specials throughout Coconut Grove

11 am -2 pm - Family Pajama Party: story time, puppets and sing-a-longs (Virginia Street)

10 am - Porshche Pit Row - Commodore Plaza - Porsche Cars and Racing Beds start filling up the street. You can watch from sidewalks and at 1 pm, Pit Row opens and you can enter and meet the racers and see the beds up close.

12 - 1 pm - Pole Position Pre Party: Main stage Music & Sponsor Activities (near Post Office on Grand Avenue)



1 – 5 pm RACE SCHEDULE:

1–2 - PIT ROW PARADE (Pits open: public viewing & prize judging)

2:06 pm - NATIONAL ANTHEM

2:08 pm - VANILLA ICE GRAND MARSHALL “RACE CALL”

2:09 - Time Trials First Heat (Grand Ave.) (5 minutes per race maximum)

2:33 - Intermission parade: First Heat returns to Pit Row

2:44 - Time Trials Second Heat (Grand Ave.)

3:17 - Intermission parade: second heat returns to Pit Row

3:25 - Quarterfinals

4: 03 - Semifinals

4:23 - Finals

5:00 - CROWD FAVORITE

5:10 - Finals

5:30 - Awards & Victory lap

6 – 10 pm - POST RACE BLOCK PARTY: merchant drink and dinner specials & live music on Fuller Street sponsored by Barracuda Bar and Grill.
