It's Chris Riggs for Mayor! at the Blu Moon Studio

chris-art
There is an opening reception for artist Chris Riggs for Mayor at the Blu Moon Studio on Saturday, October 1, during the Gallery Walk.

Chris Riggs for Mayor was born and raised in New York City and is currently working in both Miami and New York. Chris began painting at the age of 3, and by age 11 was painting murals in abandoned buildings and train tunnels throughout the city. His influences include street art, African art, Aboriginal art, Picasso, Keith Haring, Pollack, Basquiat, and Andy Warhol.

Chris will be showing his large scale works, and is creating some brand new pieces especially for this show. Please come out and give him a warm Miami welcome.

The reception is from 7 to 10 pm. Blu Moon is at 3444 Main Highway, all the way up at the top of the building. If you haven't visited, it's worth the trip. Blu Moon is like going back in time, enjoy an artists studio/gallery the way it used to be in the Grove.

All the other Coconut Grove galleries will be open from 7 to 10 with art, music and refreshments for Gallery Walk, which happens the first Saturday of every month.
