Red Kiwi is now Sweetcakes; Check 'em out!

Coconut Grove just got a little sweeter. Sweetcakes has expanded its cupcake bakery from its first location on Biscayne Boulevard to Commodore Plaza in the Grove, formerly the Red Kiwi frozen yogurt location.

They will continue to offer frozen yogurt, including original tart and Nutella, and are expanding their topping selections. Their frozen yogurt is now organic, pro-biotic rich and Kosher. They also will also offer Gluten and nut free frozen yogurt flavors.

The bakery will carry more than 15 varieties of cupcake flavors made daily from the traditional chocolate, vanilla bean and red velvet, to mojito, banana ‘n cream, key lime pie, tiramisu and chai spice latte, as well as a selection of handheld bites in its cupcake bar including cake push pops, whoopie pies, cookies, pies and cheesecakes along with coffee and tea choices, including Nespresso and Tea Forte.

Some of their specials include: Duval Street Special: Vanilla cake filled with Key Lime Pie filling and topped with a light cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs; The Ole: Kahlua soaked vanilla & chocolate cake topped with chocolate frosting and the Boston Cream Pie: Vanilla cake filled with vanilla custard and topped with a confectioners cream and chocolate drizzle.

Their drunken cupcake flavors include Courvoisier, Godiva, Amaretto, Malibu and Bailey's just to name a few.

Sweetcakes is the perfect stop for grab and go breakfast in the Grove they carry an assortment of breakfast pastries including mango /passion fruit & guava/ cheese ($2.00), croissants ($2.75), muffins, baked doughnuts and Belgian waffles made fresh daily.

Sweetcakes is at 3117 Commodore Plaza. They are open Monday - Wednesday from 11 am to 10 pm and Thursday - Sunday from 9 am to 11 pm.
