Burn Notice is back and expected to renew lease

Burn Notice is back with a new season as of last night on the USA cable network, and along with that is a new interactive graphic novel app that bridges the story lines from last season to this season. The app is here, it's called A New Day, and will be available soon.

The app includes exclusive videos, chats with fans and character photos and profiles and more.

And according to Fox Studios, which produces the show, the lease at the Coconut Grove Expo Center will be renewed in September, allowing the top rated tv show to continue filming in Coconut Grove and at the Expo Center.

$2 million per episode is spent in South Florida. The City Commission will most likely discuss the lease at the July 14 Commission meeting, so far, so good, it is expected to go smoothly. $20,000-per-month is paid in rent for the Expo Center studios. The money goes into a fund for the Coconut Grove waterfront masterplan. The Expo Center will eventually become a park when Burn Notices leaves, which hopefully will be many years from now.
