Dinner With Puccini Concert mixes food and opera

The Center for Emerging Art (CEA) presents a Dinner with Puccini Concert at The Mutiny Hotel as part of The Music Map of the World Concert: Italy on Thursday, August 19. At 6:30 pm, the reception includes complimentary wine and cheese hosted by the hotel, followed at 7:00 pm with the concert and dinner.

Excerpts from Puccini’s operas La Boheme and Madam Butterfly and the food featured in the operas, will be prepared by prepared by Atchana's East/West Kitchen’s chef especially for the evening.

The dinner may begin with a Madam Butterfly sake Martini or Atchana’s special creation for Puccini and will be served with Asian-inspired appetizers to celebrate Puccini’s opera Madame Butterfly. The dinner will reflect Puccini’s sense of drama and theatrics, which have inspired a varied erotic settings of his opera in which there is always a mention and celebration of food.

The CEA Chamber ensemble includes Paul Martin, classical guitar; Oderlyn Gutiez, flute; Beatriz Vera, violin and Ava Rado, Artistic Director.

RSVP is a must. The cost is $45/person, which includes the concert and dinner with complimentary hors d'oeuvres. The Mutiny Hotel is a 2951 S. Bayshore Drive. Valet parking is available for $8 or metered parking surrounds the hotel.
