The Tree Museum is a stoic peaceful place

The Tree Museum has opened in Zurich, Switzerland. It's been called a "stoic Stonehenge." There are almost 2000 species of trees, curated by Oppenheim Architecture and Design.

The unique trees, which look like large bansai shapes, float against the sky and large stone designs. Enzo Anea, a Swiss landscape architect oversaw the project. This would fit in beautifully in one of our many parks in the Grove. Picture it at Kennedy or Myers Park. It's art in public places -- living art, which enhances the park and makes it peaceful.

It might draw tourists to the Grove and it would enhance the area. Myers Park has been lit up at night, you may have noticed it isn't as dark or barren as in the past. These tree sculptures would like incredible if each was lit up with special lighting.

In a different type of spin on this, the Miami Beach Botanical Garden is presenting "Giants in the City," an art installation of large inflatable sculptures which will enhance their garden by having the colorful "giants" interact with the surrounding greenery. This is a temporary show from August 1 to 6.
