Hurricane preparedness meeting at Shell Lumber

With the weather we're having today, this is pretty timely.

The Cocoanut Grove Village Council along with the NET office and Shell Lumber are holding an informational meeting on how to prepare for a hurricane as well as what to do during and after at Shell Lumber (2733 SW 27 Avenue), on Wednesday, July 28 from 6 to 7 pm.

Heather Bettner, of the Village Council organized the meeting with assistance from Liza Gallardo-Walton, the Coconut Grove NET Administrator.

Speakers will be Marcos Perez from the City of Miami Police Department; members of the Office of Emergency Management & Homeland Security; the American Red Cross; the Humane Society and Shell Lumber.

Refreshments will be served courtesy of Milam’s Market and Shell Lumber.
