The Grove is party central for World Cup games

game1
Coconut Grove's bars and restaurants have been packed for almost every World Cup game this past 30 days. Moreso for certain teams, like the US and Holland at The Grove Spot, also known as "Holland House," during the games. But almost every game drew a crowd.

game2
For the final game between Holland and Spain, the fans packed every place in town.

game3
While most of the fans at The Grove Spot were cheering for Holland, there were a few who wore red and secretly cheered Spain on, who of course won in the end.

game7
Michelle Niemeyer's allegiance was no secret Sunday, she wore a Spain t-shirt at Holland House and cheered loudly when Spain scored, but ironically, in the sea of orange, a lot of people cheered loudly for Spain. Spain fans in Holland clothing? Armando Paz was for Holland, he managed to find an orange Reese's t-shirt to wear.

game6
Many of the Holland fans wore UM or Florida State shirts -- anything orange, they could find and not only were Reese's for the Dutch, so were the M&M's.

game4
In the end, after 122 minutes, Spain won the game, the celebration began and Spain's fans took to the streets. This group is celebrating Spain on Commodore Plaza, under George's French flags! One question: Where are all these people on a regular weekend? It would be fantastic if they all came out every weekend and partied in the Grove bars and restaurants like they do during the World Cup games.
