Partying it up for Bastille Day

georges5
Last night, various places in Coconut Grove celebrated Bastille Day, Le Bouchon du Grove, Le Cafe Pop and Georges in the Grove, among them, but as is the case every year, George's goes all out to make the French holiday special. They had a disco night and the staff dressed up.

It was a bit confusing as to the era because the invitation said it was the 1980s, their wall had 1970 painted on it and a friend of mine kept yelling to people, "Come on in, it's the '60s!" I told him that that was Mad Men Monday at the Mayfair, not George's disco night.

Above are Harry Emilio Gottlieb, Milly Lopez and Herve Honckler, co-owner of George's.

George Farge is usually there himself dressed as Marie Antoinette or someone, but he's been spending a lot of time at his new restaurant in South Miami, George's on Sunset. So the staff had to get into the act and dress up to make up for George's absense. Above are Jeffrey Nararrete, Alexander Berger and Michael Uribe.
