David Wells steps up to Council chair position

Last week, without much hoopla, the Cocoanut Grove Village Council voted David Wells in as the new Chair of the Council. As you know, Patrick Sessions, Chair of the Village Council, stepped down from that position last month.

David's new position comes as a surprise. It had been thought that Felice Dubin would move up to the Chair position. Others, like Heather Bettner, also had their eye on the spot. But it may work out well this way, David appears to be a calming influence and that may help in bringing more residents (and business owners) back to Village Council meetings.
