The Village of Center Grove meets tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20 at the Sailing Club (2990 S. Bayshore Drive) from 7 to 9 pm.

On the agenda:

Police will give a crime report
Trina Collins will report on the success of the Gifford Lane Art Stroll.
Sue McConnell will report on upcoming events.

There will be a chance to buy a raffle ticket to help Coconut Grove Elementary School's summer program. The prize is a lady's Locman watch donated by H&H Jewels, valued at $1400. The drawing is June 3, 2009.

Guest speaker will be State Rep. Carlos Lopez-Cantera who will speak about the repeal of the half penny sales tax surcharge imposed in 2002.

Comm. Marc Sarnoff will speak on the Center Grove improvement project which includes more lighting by installing the new acorn-style lamps and sidewalks in the Center Grove neighborhoods. This is your time to speak up if you have issues. This is your engraved invitation to attend! Also discussed will be the traffic issue on Bridgeport and 30th Court. The Capital Improvement Department will also be on hand.

Anyone attending this meeting receives a card from Angelo & Maxies Steak House in the Mayfair -- if you buy one entrée the second entrée is half price with dinner and a card from Atchana's East/West Kitchen in the Mutiny that entitles you to a free beer, free glass of wine, or dessert with dinner.

Both of these restaurants are new Code 33 members.
