I got lost in the Age of Aquarius

grove2
I went back in time to the vintage Coconut Grove, with a little Woodstock, New York, thrown in.

It's right across US1 at the little shopping center off of 27th Avenue, I wrote about the grand opening
here.

It's a nice 1960s hippy vibe when you visit the backyard entrances of the stores. This red scene above is behind one store and the tropical scenes below link to the other side. It's interesting little feng shui patio gardens -- another world, full of incense, candles, pillows and peace.

At left is Jackie working on Sammy's hair at the Lakshami Salon, my friend Jerry gets his hair cut there.

Below are Jennie (left) and Rosa, from The Grove store at 2759 SW 27 Avenue. One of the little funky shops at the little funky timewarp center. Along with The Grove and Lakshimi is the Mosaic Academy, a photography studio and Invasion sneaker store. And ironically, next to Rosa's Grove store, full of peace symbols and signs (including Rosa below giving the peace sign), there is a gun shop.
