Free Art Marketing Salon for artists starting soon

Artist Debra Cortese (left) is introducing an Art Marketing Salon for artists, which will teach artists how to promote themselves and their artwork. It's a free workshop.

"A salon is a social gathering of artists and intellectuals hosted at regular intervals by a patron in his or her home. Such convivial settings for the art of conversation emerged in Paris at the beginning of the seventeenth century," says Robert Atkins in ArtSpoke.

This salon will be held at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue).

This is eight workshops which will run weekly beginning the first week of April, on either Tuesday evenings or Saturday mornings, depending on the majority consensus of participating artists.

A ninth session, an art exhibit, will be scheduled as part of the closing celebration.

Class is limited to 16 artists (visual, music, dance, theatre, writing, etc.). Registration ends on March 24 or as soon as there are 16 confirmed registrations.
