Open House at Nityananda Center

The Nityananda Center (2829 Bird Avenue, #10) is having an open house on Sunday, December 12. It starts off with a free kids Kung Fu Class demonstration. Kids will learn jumping techniques, classical Kung self defense routines disguised as dances and incredible stretching techniques, this is fromk 2 to 3 pm.

After that, from 3 to 4 pm, there is a Chi Gong class, this is an ancient Chinese art for healing and health. It's effects are deep and long lasting creating an inner strength and calm resolve.

Next is the adult Kung Fu class from 4 to 6 pm. The class shows dynamic focus and skill generated by real Kung Fu training. Students will show some training drills, traditional styles and then set defense patterns. They'll teach wood breaking techniques, too.

The Creative Ritual Class, from 7 to 8:30 pm, will perform two ten minute performances based on the theme of "Awakening." This is the culmination of a 12 week class focusing on symbolic art, self discipline and observation.
