Jairo Salomon is here from Cuba, he came with his art for Art Basel and he's scheduled to go back to Cuba on Christmas day. Jairo is Vice President of Artisans in Holguin, Cuba.
The art is hard to photograph, I wish I had done a better job of it. He creates animals from bull horns. The image above is a cock fight, apparently very popular. The Lebonese ambassador in Cuba owns one of these.
The art is black and shiny but the underbelly shows the roughness of the bull horn.
