King Mango Strut parodies 2010

The people who put the "nut" in Coconut Grove, came through again yesterday, with the 29th annual King Mango Strut, which took place under bright sunny skies. While the rest of the country froze, the Mangoheads played out their parody of 2010 in 60 degree weather. Everything that was political was made fun of and anything newsworthy, too, including those pesky hotel bed bugs and the Red Hot Chile Miners. Alice in Wonderland's Mad Hatter Tea Party, parodied the political Tea Party with lots of colorful characters and of course BP and the oil spill were mocked and made fun of by the Sierra Club.

Thousands lined the sidewalks to enjoy the yearly crazyfest. There were after parties all over the village and lots of food, drink and fun were served up.
