Confucio Express offers gourmet Chinese cuisine

Confucio Express is coming to the former Qdoba space on Grand Avenue (next to FedEx Kinkos). I met the owner, Carlos Visbal the other day and he was excited to tell me about their concept.

Confucio Express is an eat-in and take-out gourmet Chinese place and they will also deliver. If you eat in, it will consist of you ordering at the counter and then sitting down and the staff will bring the food over. So it is not a full service restaurant, but an economical, quality place.

They have all sorts of goodies, including vegetarian dishes like Sweet & Sour Eggplant, Garlic Broccoli, Mapo Tofu with mixed veggies and Garlic Eggplant.

On the main menu there are items like Deep Fried Chicken Wings, Mongolian Beef, Pepper Steak, Beef Chop Suey, Beef with Broccoli, Shrimp with Broccoli and Shrimp Chop Suey.

They have a location on Coral Way, the prices there are $8.95 for the lunch special and $11.95 for dinner. All the specials come with fried rice and an egg roll.

We'll keep you posted as to progress at the new restaurant, which is still under renovation. To get a little peek at what they have in mind, here is their website:
