Stupa to be built in honor of Dalai Lama

Spoil Island E, right off the coast of Coconut Grove, will be visited by the Dalai Lama when he comes to the Grove in late October.

His Holiness will lead a ceremony at the site on October 25 at 10 am, to build a Stupa that would have a public second floor observation area, according to Master Tsai from Zen Village.

The Stupa would be designed, built, and maintained by the Zen Village. The proposed structure base would be 20’ x 20’, the height would be 28’. The master plan shows a two story viewing area, which might be integrated into the design of the Stupa. Here's an example of what it could look like but of course at a smaller scale and with a viewing platform.
From
Wikipedia, a Stupa is is a mound-like structure containing Buddhist relics, typically the remains of a Buddha or saint, used by Buddhists as a place of worship.
