Revisiting Friday's Park(ing) Day

Did you see our Park(ing) Day coverage?

It's
here and here.

Some people didn't get it and some didn't like it. Someone told me that the money could have been spent on something more beneficial for the Grove and that the whole idea was stupid.

The event really did not cost much because the City and the Parking Authority were in it from day one and they provided the services without cost. And it wasn't a Grove thing, it's a world wide event that we chose to take part in. It's almost like saying New Year's Eve is stupid and expensive, let's ignore it. We could have, but why?

The people who partook in the event loved it and as far as we could tell, the passersby did, too.
