Claiming clean industries for Coconut Grove

The film industry likes Coconut Grove and so does the Tech Industry. It would be great to accommodate them both. They are both clean, quiet, upscale industries. The bring people, money and life to the area.

My friend Heather Bettner, of the Village Council and Peacock Tour, had a great idea of turning the Village West empty lots into film studios, easily accessible by US1 and inside the Grove limits, sort of like a small Culver City, which is a small town in Los Angeles, similar to Coconut Grove, where MGM and Sony are located.

Another friend Brian Breslin of Refresh Miami and other tech entities has been trying to build up some sort of tech community in the Grove -- techies working and living here. The problem is finding office space.

Most of the techie guys need a cubicle or two. One large office space which could be divided up would be perfect. Is there such a place in the Grove? Something affordable for startups? Join the discussion at our Facebook Fanpage here.
