The Mayfair Plaza is turning into quite the hang out

mayfair1
The plaza at Mayfair always seems to have something going on each weekend. This past weekend Captain Art was out along with the Old Story Teller and the petting zoo and Bev the Steel Drum player, oh yea, and Freddie the Balloon Artist and magician.

Captain Art, shown here with Alexis and Freddie had us all drawing in a short time. He just set out his markers, paint and paper and we all had a ball. Freddie did a lot of magical tricks in between, he's good at a lot of David Blaine's stuff.

Robert joined us, you can see him here drawing with Capt. Art and Alexis. It really was a fun day. I went back and forth between the guys hanging at Paul's Sunglasses Kiosk and here.

Next weekend, Johnny Valdes tells me that there will be a lot more going on for the First Saturday Art Stoll, including a liquor company sponsoring the event and local restaurants handing out samples of their food. Of course the artists will be out like last time, too. And there will be more music.

Another Freddie, Freddie the Flamingo, has moved from CocoWalk to Mayfair and is being spruced up for his grand entrance. So look for him soon, too.
