Funding Arts Network (FAN) is holding its annual awards luncheon and membership drive by handing out $200,000 in grant awards, including the $50,000 Knight Foundation New Work Award.The new FAN board will be presented at the luncheon. Rachel Blechman will be stepping down after six years as president and Terry Schechter will be incoming president from 2009 to 2011.
Over 20 artistic organizations will receive grants at the luncheon. So far, FAN has given $2.25 million to 75 groups. The luncheon is at the Sonesta Bayfront Hotel Coconut Grove (2889 McFarlane Road), Tuesday May 5 at noon.
