The Cherry on Top (3413 Main Highway) is working away daily to get their space set up. At first it was thought to be only a gourmet market, but now they are billing themselves as a "wine bar with a twist."
They will offer cheese, charcuterie, seafood and chocolates from all over the world paired with an extensive "off the beaten track" wine list.
They also will have a gourmet retail store with indoor and outdoor seating and all items on the menu are available for sale in the store called Le Petit Gourmand. So now on Main Highway we have Le P'tit Paris on Main and Commodore and Le Petit Gourmand on Main near McFarlane. Makes you wanna go hmmm.
They have their tentative menu posted right on the storefront, so pass by and check it out when you can. They are hoping for a May 1 opening date, but from what I could see inside, a lot of work needs to be done, and you know our code enforcement department, they could hold them up for months, let's hope for a speedy opening.
