Mail Art reception is tomorrow afternoon

mail-art
Tomorrow, Sunday, is the reception for the participants of the Mail Art Exhibit that has been going since February at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue). All winter and into spring, people have been sending their mail art -- decorated, artistic envelopes and other items to the gallery. Even a red high heel shoe came all the way from Europe with just a few stamps stuck on the bottom!

This colorful envelope inspired by the stamp, arrived from seven-year-old Mariana Molano, a student from Children's House Montessori School. It was one of many envelopes that made it under the wire.

Three envelopes arrived from the Czech Republic's One Ear Society, last minute, too. The reception is right after the Bike Day events from 2 to 4 pm.

You can see many of the thousands of mail art that came in at the local One Ear Society blog here.
