PhilanthroFest is back for 2nd year

PhilanthroFest 2013 is taking place Saturday, April 6. This is a non-profit organization that connects people and charities. The large scale event, now in its second year is being held at the Miami-Dade College Wolfson Campus (300 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami) from noon to 6 pm.

It's a fun, family atmosphere where you will enjoy music, art, live performances, and learn about community resources where you can learn about specific charities and causes and get assistance that you may need or join in and donate your talents. It puts both groups together in the one fun-filled day.

PhilanthroFest is free and open to the public with the goal of connecting potential volunteers and donors to not-for-profit organizations while creating an environment that promotes civic engagement, deepens community connections and sparks the philanthropic spirit of South Florida.

South Florida residents will have access to valuable resources and services in the areas of Business and Economic Development, City/County Services, Civic Engagement/Community Improvement & Capacity Building, Cultural/Arts/Humanities, Educational, Environmental, Health/Human Services/Disease Prevention, Poverty/Welfare, Animal Related, Food/Agriculture/Nutrition, Recreation and Sports, and Youth Development and Services.

Free space is provided to non-profits to promote their mission and connect with the community.
