Bali Ha'i Party celebrating their 19th year

One of South Florida's prettiest events is back for it's 19th year. The Bali Ha’i Party, will take place Sunday, April 14, from 5 to 8 pm at The Kampong (4013 S. Douglas Road). This is one of South Florida's favorite food and garden parties. The fundraiser is held at Coconut Grove's tropical botanic oasis. It is an afternoon of garden beauty, pungent spices, handcrafted cocktails and fabulous food.

The event raises funds to maintain and expand The Kampong’s tropical botanical collection, providing a living classroom and laboratory for visiting scientists, students, and garden visitors.

This year, the glamour years of Hollywood will be celebrated, with noted designer Hutton Wilkinson, president of legendary LA designer Tony Duquette Inc. Mr. Wilkinson will be signing copies of “More Is More”, his second book on the extravagant and enchanting designs and life of Tony Duquette, one of Hollywood’s premier designers of interiors, jewelry and gardens.

Noted South Florida artist Lisa Remeny painted the jade vine image, which will be offered at the auction along with many luxurious items.

Restaurant/culinary participants announced to date include: Area 31, Azul at The Mandarin Oriental, Dolce Italian, Florida Cookery, Happy Wine, Ian’s Tropical Grill, Jean Paul’s House, Khong River House, Lasso the Moon, Oishi Thai, Scarpetta at The Fountainebleau, and Shake Shack. Bombay Sapphire East will be featuring specialty cocktails for the event. Piper-Heidsieck is providing the champagne for our event.

This year’s chairs are Cynthia Seaman and Jocelyn Tennille, Norman Van Aken is the Culinary Chair and event concept and production is by Lasso the Moon.

Tickets start at $600 per person, they also are offered at $350 and $150. The various levels are explained online, where you may order and get more info at: www.balihaiparty.com.

Parking is complimentary with a shuttle from Plymouth Congregational Church (3400 Devon Road, off Main Highway). No parking is available on-site at The Kampong.
