You all know Jimbo's from his famous hangout on Virginia Key for so many years. Jimbo's the bar is no longer, but Jimbo the man is going strong.
The party is at Gramps Bar (176 NW 24 Street in Miami) from noon to 6 pm. It's a great indoor/outdoor event. Stop by to say hello to Jimbo and celebrate his Miami legacy.
Adam Gersten at Gramps saved a lot of the old stuff from Jimbo's just before the city came in and bulldozed the place and turned it into a grassy field. Come to Gramps and see if you can spot all the cool stuff left over from Jimbo's.
Come play bocce ball, and kibitz about the good old times with old friends. Bring old photos and memories of Jimbo and his shack to pin on the wall.
Captain Greg is bringing smoked fish, and his "Jimbo Special 86 Smoked Fish Dip" with sweet jalapeño relish for all you that miss ol' Jimbo's killer smoked fish. There's plenty of beer for sale, a food truck with Brazilian BBQ and lots of cool stuff.
