The season has started
Last night there was a lot going on from one end of town to the other. The Coconut Grove Block Parties started up on Commodore Plaza and it just happened to be the first Saturday of the month, so the First Saturday Art Stroll was at the other end of town at the Mayfair Promenade.
That's Ria, above, performing at the Block Party and at the other end of the block Suenalo performed. Next Saturday, there will be two more featured groups.
Art, music and free drinks and food brought out lots of people to the Art Stroll. The GroveHouse had many visitors and so did the Mayfair Antiques and Collectibles Market. The whole promenade filled up as the sun went down. Johnny and Cindy do an incredible job with this.
AnnaMaria Windisch-Hunt premiered her new exhibit with Georges S. Nader and Les Roberts. They are standing in front of "Temptation" by Bernard Sejourne. Georges is the patriarch of the Nader clan, and is now divesting his personal collection of famous Haitian artists.
Les Roberts owns the Britto and Peter Max galleries on McFarlane Road and he popped over to check out the Art Stroll and really liked what he saw. His goals it bring much more art and have many more art events in the Grove. Next Saturday, is the grand opening of the Peter Max gallery.
