Art classes begin at the Windisch-Hunt Gallery (2911 Grand Avenue) starting this Saturday, October 17. Artist Sherrie Rose is the instructor.This is for students from ages 9 to 15. Classes are from 10 am to 1 am for five Saturdays. Cost is $150.00 plus $20.00 for materials.
The subject is "Creating the Fresco Garden."
Students will use natural wood as a canvas for texture, flowers, butterflies, birds and bugs, using techniques and media inspired by old world frescoes. Each student will create a miniature garden with plaster and acrylic paints, using trowels, brushes and chalk.
