Delicious fresh food at new Grove Green Market

market1
The first Coconut Grove Green Market came to town yesterday and it looks like it's a hit. From 3 to 6 pm, the market offered fruits, vegetables, prepared foods, plants and other items. Above, Johanne and Frantz manned the Gerbaud Baker booth, which also sold pork and turkey dishes, which some of us took home for dinner.

There was an area to eat and enjoy the prepared food and drinks. Everything was reasonably priced and nice and fresh. My favorite were the heirloom tomatoes. They tasted so sweet and juicy. They were just that perfect.

The Green Market will be back every Wednesday, be sure to stop by next week if you missed it yesterday. They will have lots more organic produce as the South Florida growing season kicks in; that will be by the end of November and beginning of December.
