Monty Trainer named chairman of NWSA

Monty Trainer has been named chairman of the New World School of the Arts for the 2010 year.

Monty is president of the Coconut Grove Art and Historical Association and presents the annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival, which was recently named the top fine arts festival in the nation by Sunshine Artist Magazine.

He serves on the executive board of the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce and Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Council.

New World School of the Arts (NWSA) develops talented students in the areas of dance, music, theater and visual arts from the ninth grade in high school through a Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor in Music college degree. NWSA was created by the Florida Legislature as a center of excellence in the performing and visual arts, is an educational partnership of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, Miami Dade College and the University of Florida.
