Tonight is the Chamber's Casino Night

I popped by the Casino at Mayfair earlier today. The gaming tables are in (I sneaked a photo of the roulette wheel, as you can see), I saw the silent auction prizes lined up (there are many), the crew is preparing a Moroccan feast and the place is decked out to look like Morocco or dare I say, Casablanca?

With John and Niki at the piano live, I am sure we are going to here some famous movie tunes like "As Time Goes By."

The velvet ropes line the entrance and the anticipated cast of characters will start arriving at 7 pm. Tickets may be purchased at the door. It's a unique charity event for the Coconut Grove Chamber of Commerce.

According to their promo, it's "An evening of chance, mystery, music and festivities -- Step back to a time of elegance and romance."

It all takes place at the former Cielo nightclub location (3390 Mary Street). There's Vegas-style games, a silent auction, dinner and an open bar all night. The cost is $100 per person, which includes $25 in gaming chips the open bar and dinner.

Please feel free to just show up at the door. All are welcome.
