Writers Read Open Mic night at The Bookstore

Do Bright Objects Hypnotize Your Mind? Are you easily seduced by the power and magic of words and how they fall into sentences and onto the page. Are you titillated by the way they tumble out of your mouth? Surely you’re a poet and will want to join the upcoming, “Writers Read” Open Mic night in celebration of National Poetry Month at The Bookstore (3399 Virginia Street) on Thursday, April 14.

Join friends to delight in the indulgence of the written and spoken word. Around the country on this day, people will be celebrating poetry.

Live music and poetry will be the theme of the night. The music is from 7-8 pm. Readings from 8-9:30 pm.

Writers Read Open Mic is open to writers of any genre — fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, drama, children’s literature. Readers: practice your readings — max. 7 minutes.

Arrive early to sign up to read. For info, please contact Mike at mikelrm@aol.com or 305-281-4089.
